{"id":3195,"date":"2014-06-24T15:40:18","date_gmt":"2014-06-24T12:40:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tzoumerka-park.gr\/en\/%ce%b9%cf%83%cf%84%ce%bf%cf%81%ce%b9%ce%ba%cf%8c-%ce%af%ce%b4%cf%81%cf%85%cf%83%ce%b7%cf%82\/"},"modified":"2016-09-02T21:16:18","modified_gmt":"2016-09-02T18:16:18","slug":"brief-history","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tzoumerka-park.gr\/en\/brief-history\/","title":{"rendered":"Brief history"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The origins of the foundation of the\u00a0<strong>National Park<\/strong> are anchored as far back as\u00a0<strong>1995<\/strong>\u00a0and were firmly supported by the local authorities and political leadership.<\/p>\n<p>The Special Environmental Study, was approved on the 2 February 2007 and encloses the general framework (zoning, regulations, management authority council etc.) for the effective management of the protected area.<\/p>\n<p>On top for that a series of common ministerial decisions sets the provisions of the operation of the Management Authority, the organization chart, the rules of the financial management\/ operation of the National Park, the rules for procurements\/ tenders etc.<\/p>\n<p>On 12 February 2009, the area occupied by the mountain ranges of\u00a0Tzoumerka (Athamanika Mounts),\u00a0Peristeri\u00a0(Mount Lakmos)\u00a0and the Arachthos\u00a0River gorge was identified as <strong>National Park<\/strong> by virtue of Presidential Decree (Official Government Gazette 49\u0394\/12.02.2009) and the Management Authority was founded.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Administrative Board of the Management Authority<\/strong> was firstly formed on <em>16 September 2009<\/em> (Official Government Gazette 415\/16.09.2009).
